Services

Air conditioning and heating work in Tomball and northwest Houston.

ASR Mechanical is a family owned, American Standard dealer working out of Commercial Park Road since 1997. The work is residential and light commercial, and it falls into six lines. Each one has its own page, filed below under the symptom that usually starts the call.

Not sure which line your problem belongs to? Describe it and a person will sort that out. The towns ASR drives to are listed on the service areas page.

AC Repair

When a system quits in a Tomball summer, the usual suspects are a failed capacitor or contactor, a refrigerant leak, a frozen coil or a clogged condensate line. ASR names the fault first and gives the cost before the work starts.

One reviewer had been told by another company that an entirely new unit was needed. ASR cleaned the unit and made adjustments instead.

“They laid out what needed to be done and let me know that I would NOT need a new unit.”T G · Google review

New system

AC Installation

A new system starts with the house: its load and its ductwork, checked before a model is chosen. ASR is an American Standard dealer, so the equipment on the truck and the name on the nameplate match.

No heat

Heating and Furnace Repair

Igniters, flame sensors, limit switches, inducer motors and gas valves are the parts behind most no-heat calls on a gas furnace. Many Tomball furnaces and air handlers live in attics, so getting to the unit is part of the job.

The gas side is checked before the system is handed back to you.

Annual check

HVAC Maintenance

The yearly check up, booked the easy way and finished without a sales pitch attached. A customer whose AC and heater ASR installed describes the visit the same way every year.

If something does need attention, you hear about it plainly, and the decision stays yours.

“There were no hard sales pitches, just honest feedback and suggestions for annual maintenance.”Bailey Curtis · Google review

Indoor Air Quality

From air quality testing to dehumidifiers, with Aprilaire media air cleaners among the equipment ASR installs. A house that sits in Gulf Coast humidity all summer, or has leaks in its attic ductwork, can have air that is worse than the thermostat suggests.

Testing comes before equipment, so you only buy what the readings call for.

Wider than a house call, as the photographs show.

Look through ASR's pictures and the range goes past a home condenser: a rooftop package unit being metered, an attic air handler going in beside an Aprilaire cabinet, a ductless mini-split on gauges, flex duct run between joists on a new build. These are frames from the work, not extra items on a menu. If your building has something like them, call and ask.

Anything not answered here, ask on the contact page or learn more about the company.

Call and ask. What customers describe in their reviews is a diagnosis first: several write that they came to ASR for a second opinion after being told they needed a full replacement, and were shown the unit could be repaired instead. The honest answer to what your system needs is the product, not the upsell.

Since 1997. The company is family owned, and it says so on the seal the trucks and the shop carry. One reviewer notes having used ASR for at least twenty of those years.

Yes. The published hours run from midnight to 11:30 PM Monday through Friday, and around the clock on Saturday and Sunday. Call (281) 351-5354.

Both. The same crew that services attic air handlers and residential condensers also works rooftop packaged units on light commercial buildings.

ASR is an American Standard dealer, and the service trucks carry the Customer Care Dealer mark. Equipment on recent jobs has included American Standard air handlers, Aprilaire media air cleaners and ductless mini-split systems.

Tomball first, then out across Magnolia, Spring, Cypress, Pinehurst, Hockley, Waller, Conroe, Montgomery, Willis, Humble, Kingwood, Katy, Sugar Land and the rest of northwest Houston. The full list is on the service areas page.
