What to tell us
Noise
Humming, clicking, rattling or nothing at all, and whether it starts with the system or a minute after.
Smell
Burning, musty or sharp. If you smell gas, leave the house and call your gas utility before you call us.
Thermostat
The setting, the temperature the house actually reads, and how long it has been that way.
Model plate
The label on the outdoor unit or the furnace lists the make and model. Have it handy, or read it to us.
Quoted elsewhere
Whether another company already quoted a replacement, and what they said was wrong. Several of ASR's reviewers called for a second opinion first.
